Dr. David Rudman Orthopaedic Surgeon

David P. Rudman, M.D. is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and The American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.

Dr. Rudman received his Doctor of Medicine at SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse, NY. He completed his orthopaedic surgery training at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan. During his training he joined the Harvard Combine program for a rotation in pediatric orthopaedics at Children's Hospital in Boston, MA. He did an orthopaedic oncology rotation at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY and a trauma rotation at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He also served as the Chief Resident in Orthopaedic Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital.

Dr. Rudman went on to complete a fellowship in Sports Medicine, Shoulder and Knee surgery at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Denver, CO. While there he enjoyed the opportunity to be part of the medical staff for the National Football League Denver Broncos and the Major League Baseball Colorado Rockies.

Dr. Rudman instructs courses nationally for other orthopaedic surgeons on the latest shoulder and knee surgical techniques. Dr. Rudman has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented several papers at both local and national meetings. The results of his research have also been presented at the American Academy of Orthopaedics Surgeons annual meeting and at the National Football League's Team Physicians meeting.

He has also been recognized as one of America's Top Surgeons for Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine by the Consumers' Research Council of America. He was also honored by The Global Directory of Who's Who as a Top Doctor in 2009.

Currently, Dr. Rudman is an Attending Physician in the Department of Orthopaedics Surgery at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. He lives in Northern New Jersey with his wife, Brigitte, their daughter Addi and son Jude. Dr. Rudman enjoys an active lifestyle that includes golf, hiking, skiing, mountain biking, and family travel.
